What can I say? This pattern sprang, fully formed, from the yarn ball. (See more preview information here on my blog). She’s been called a lot of things since—Corn Goddess, Tonantzin, but “Maize” stuck. Like ripe corn in a summertime field, with cabled furrows running around the body. You can also omit the sleeves for a tunic-length vest.
The color of Malabrigo used in the yellow sample is called “Frank Ochre” and it’s a stunner -- a lovely, deep yellow with hints of green if you look very closely. Fresh from the field! The green sample is knit in Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in color Green Tea Heather.
You can choose either a printed copy of the pattern, professionally printed on glossy paper or a digital download (PDF). If you would like a printed copy please let us know during checkout. If you are a guild member, own a yarn shop or would like to order copies in bulk for a knit-along, please email us at info@cooperativepress.com
