From the book Ancient Egypt in Lace and Color, also available from CP.
Queen Nefertari is one of the best-known Egyptian queens and the most famous of Ramesses the Great’s many wives. Upon her death, she became the patron deity of the Theban necropolis and was worshipped as a goddess in Thebes. Her tomb is one of the most beautiful in the Valley of Queens. She was known as the Lady of the West and the Mistress of the Sky.
The Nefertari shawl is a neck-to-edge triangular shawl with wispy wings for the Mistress of the Sky.
